We have often heard the infamous phrase or cliché. “To whom much is given much is required.” But, what we may not know is that it is based on the scripture in Luke 12:48, “Great gifts mean great responsibilities; greater gifts, greater responsibilities!”(Msg) In 2019, you must accept the fact that you have great gifts, narrow your focus on those great gifts and take on the greater responsibilities that come along with your endowment and favor from God.
As you Shift into You, take the time to understand who you are as a leader, and why you were chosen by God to be a Boss, and for such a time as this. Now, please don’t think that because we are referring to the word Boss, you need to walk around with a “big head” trying to tell other people what to do. No, shifting in to you and being a boss often happens in the quietness and stillness of self-discovery. So, if you love to journal take out your pen and your paper and jot down these motivating factors that helped me Shift into Me, (my true self) and start acting like a Boss. Because sister, if you are reading this, “YOU WERE BORN TO LEAD!!”
First thing First, Take some time to Discover and Define. Great women in leadership take the time to discover their gifts and their talents. They spend time thinking, planning, reading, and networking with other progressive women and they determine what is that drives their passion button. Women in leadership discover through meditation and focus what they were created to lead and why. Once they complete the discovery phase, they take the time to define their why for leadership, what they want to accomplish as a leader and how they are going to make it happen. Submitting your way to the will of God, is very important in the Discover and Define process. Remember, Psalm 37:23 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” So, while you are discovering and defining, make sure that your steps in prayer, discovery, and definition are ordered by the Lord, which will bring you delight because of your obedience to your maker.
Next you need to Prune and Dismiss. Pruning is the process of removing superfluous or unwanted parts of oneself in order to increase in fruitfulness and growth. This means you have to take a hard look in the mirror and say to yourself: Self, the old me that was afraid to lead, afraid to dream, afraid to take-risks, In 2019 She is going to Shift into Her Boss season, which means that I am killing and cutting off anything that keeps me from my Boss Level-Up Season. When she starts to rear her ugly head and keep you from the shift, read your word, phone a friend, and tell the enemy “THIS IS MY SEASON!” You will also have to take some time to DISMISS your haters and those who just can’t LEVEL UP with you. If your friend circle gets smaller in this season, just take it as a sign that your Shift is in process. All of your girlfriends and homies can’t be a part of the process. You are moving to the next dimension, the next level of you, your elevation season, therefore you may have to send out some silent dismissal “pink sheets, “and move on. But, don’t take it as a lost, keep yourself open, because whenever God is moving you up to Leadership as He removes those who can’t go, He provides a Circle of Sisters who are on the same path, so actually, you gain!!
Last thing, JUMP INTO YOUR SEASON OF DESTINY!! My sisters, you have done the grunt work for long enough. You have paid my dues, your dues, your children’s’ dues, and the dues of many more. But, this is your season of Shift, your season of Boss Elevation, Your Season of Leadership, and you must Jump into it! You have to move with Authority into your destiny! You have no time to crawl, or walk, or run, YOU MUST JUMP! Jump into your Belief that God created you for such a time as this. Jump into the work that is going to take your leadership to the next level. Jump into your new sister circle and expanding your network!! Jump into YOU!! Make 2019, the BEST BOSS Level-Up SEASON Ever, and hold on tight because there is more to come. It’s like when you are in a plane and you are rising above the ground and then the clouds into that perfect level of elevation. You feel some bumps, your ears pop, but when you hit the optimal flight level it is smooth sailing to your next destination. My sisters, Shift into you, because you were born to be a BOSS!
